As we approach the end of the year, we at the Autism Society of Massachusetts are writing to ask — will you join us in building a more inclusive, supportive, and connected future for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families?
Why we need you now
At ASMA, our mission is to empower individuals with autism and their families to live with dignity, opportunity, and connection. We do this through education, advocacy, community programming, and by providing compassionate support and resources.
This year, to meet growing demand and reach even more families across Massachusetts, we’re prioritizing three critical initiatives:
Developing and Launching Our Virtual Learning Center: ASMA is building an on-demand training portal designed for families, professionals, first responders, and community members across Massachusetts. The Virtual Learning Center will make high-quality Autism education available anywhere, anytime, offering courses on Autism 101, inclusion, navigating services and more. Donations this year will help fund course development, platform design, and the launch of this first-of-its-kind statewide resource.
Growing the Autism Inclusion Network: Through this initiative we work with workplaces, schools, community centers, first-responder organizations, and more to create Autism-friendly environments. Participating organizations commit to inclusive practices, use visual communication tools, and participate in staff training. The Inclusion Network helps break down barriers making public spaces, services, and community supports welcoming to everyone.
Strengthening our Information & Referral Services: Navigating support systems, services, medical care, education, therapies, and community programs can feel overwhelming for many families. Our resource guides and referral services, which have helped countless Massachusetts families find the help they need ,must grow and remain up-to-date.
The Impact Your Generosity Can Help Make
$50 Helps us provide a resource guide to a community partner such as a pediatrician’s office, school, or community center ensuring families receive the right local referrals and Autism-specific services.
$100 A communication banner for a community-based organization joining the Autism Inclusion Network signaling they welcome all communication styles and are committed to inclusion.
$150 Funds resource cards for a local police department, helping first responders quickly identify community supports and Autism-specific tips during emergencies.
$250 Helps sponsor a police department to receive autism awareness training, resource cards, and visual communication tools, equipping officers to respond safely and confidently.
$500 Helps fund platform development, course creation, and the initial launch of our Virtual Learning Center a new statewide resource that will make Autism education accessible to all.
Of course, any gift whether $25 or $1,000 or more makes a difference.
Because of generous donors like you… we are already making an impact. Families across Massachusetts are receiving vital support through our Information and Referral program, connecting them with the services they need. First responders are equipped with training, resource cards, and communication tools to support safer interactions. And more community partners are joining our Autism Inclusion Network, helping create welcoming, Autism-aware spaces across the state.
As we look to the year ahead, with demand rising and opportunities to reach more families growing every day, we hope you will stand with us once again.
Your gift today is more than a donation — it’s a gift of inclusion, connection, and hope.
Please give what you can, and help us ensure that every person with Autism in Massachusetts has access to resources, respect, and community whenever and wherever they need them.
